I should attempt one of my favorite drives (the train doesn't raise up on any platform) maybe with a dashmounted tripod. posted by: zekeblog (reply) post date: 01.15.09 (12:09 am) Dialup? I don't have the patience! I figured you'd enjoy reminiscing your journeys to Berkeley with these BART videos. Thanks, John! posted by: soulsought (reply) post date: 01.15.09 (2:36 pm) I actually find the sounds so familiar I can smell the dank concrete in the stations. I downloaded Googoo Earth and took a wild ride over Lake Anza, Lawrence Hall, Shasta Gate, the Roee Garden, and the Euclid block just north of campus. Then the service cut out on me, saying my video card was inadequate and at this point I can only browse what I've already cached. They approximate addresses, assuming all individual property fronts are equal. I looked up an address and it showed a picture of a farmhouse with a porch. I drove over there, and the farm house is the house next door to the real address, a turn of the century colonial with a mansard (barn) roof. |
